Chaz Davies leaves Aragon beaming with his third career World Superbike double victory weekend to slash the points deficit to championship leader Jonathan Rea and feels Aruba.it Racing Ducati's upgrades gave him the top-end power to blast away from his rivals.

The Welsh rider secured the perfect weekend by dominating to victory in both races at Aragon after his superior cornering speed was complemented by some extra top-end speed thanks to upgrades and a new exhaust system on his Panigale R.

"This weekend feels like a dream," Davies said. "The bike was competitive from the get-go, and we only made small tweaks. The technical upgrades brought here have given us what we needed. In Thailand I could only stay in the slipstream, while here I've been able to pass my opponents also on the straight."

Despite his joy Davies is preparing to start from zero and build solid foundations in two weeks time at Assen in a similar style to his eye-catching pace produced during the free practice session in Spain.

"In Assen, however, we will start from scratch," he explained. "The season has just begun, and things can change quite quickly, but I'm really happy with our overall package. It's my third year with Ducati, and I witnessed a constant growth. Now the list of things to improve is really short, and I want to thank everybody in the team and the factory for the amount of work put in."

The Welsh rider heads to Holland aiming to continue to eat into Rea's World Superbike points lead, which currently stands at 26 after three rounds after he leapt from fourth to second thanks to his two victories this weekend.
