Jonathan Rea has topped all three free practice sessions in Qatar to maintain his control of the timesheet in the World Superbike championship for Kawasaki.

Rea heads into the 2017 final round needing two wins to surpass Colin Edwards’ World Superbike most points record set in 2002 and looks on strong form both over a single lap and on yesterday’s race simulation at a circuit Kawasaki has never won at.

In the short FP3 run as the sun set on the Losail International Circuit, Rea produced a 1m 57.493s to pull out a whopping 0.857s on nearest challenger Marco Melandri while Alex Lowes continued his promising start to the race weekend in third for Pata Yamaha.
