WSBK » WSBK QUIZ: a look back at the 2012 season

So Max Biaggi heads off into retirement basking in the satisfaction of clinching his second World Superbikes title after edging Tom Sykes by half a point in a thrilling white-knuckle season decider at Magny-Cours in October.

The action on the track might be over, but as well as deciding who the 2012 WSBK Rider of the Year is we also want to give you a quiz work-out to tease and titillate your brain cells and make sure you're not getting too lazy and flabby over the upcoming holiday season!

We've dug into the events of the 2012 season to find some of the interesting tidbits that you might just possibly have missed first time around, so you'll either learn some new facts and figures or else you'll prove us wrong and demonstrate that you knew this stuff all along.

To get the most fun out of the quiz, try to avoid looking up the answers online as you go: Google, Wikipedia and's news archives may indeed hold the solutions if you go looking hard enough, but it won't be nearly as satisfying knowing you did it all by yourself.

Do let us know how you get on with the quiz by using the comments section when you're done!

Question 1. Nice and simple one to ease you in: who claimed the most WSBK race wins (six in total) in 2012?
