A seemingly certain Ten Kate Honda World Supersport one-two at Misano ended with a crash for long time leader Broc Parkes, but a win for team-mate Karl Muggeridge, who continued his high pace without incident right to the flag.

The Supersport race was run in soaking conditions, and had even delayed by 40 minutes; such was the severity of the immediate pre-race weather.

As well as Muggeridge, fellow Australian Kevin Curtain survived the storm to take second for Yamaha Motor Germany, and also second in the riders' championship behind Jurgen van den Goorbergh. The Yamaha Italian star would finish third today, ahead of Alstare Suzuki's Katsuaki Fujiwara.

Meanwhile, an impressive ride by Kawasaki Bertocchi's Stefano Cruciani saw him in a strong podium place for much of the race, only to become yet another victim of the weather and fall from the position.
