Turkey WSBK: Laverty back in the hunt with fifth win

Jules Cluzel brought the sole remaining Fixi Crescent Suzuki home for seventh position, ahead of a disappointing Chaz Davies, the Nurburgring race winner losing out to his rivals en route to eighth place.

Mirroring Elias and Giugliano's clash, new PATA Honda team-mates Michel Fabrizio and Leon Haslam got better acquainted with one another as their race-long duel ended with contact at the final bend, the Briton just getting the better of his new counterpart.

With just 16 riders starting, retirements for Ayrton Badovini and Mark Aitchison would allow Federico Sandi to secure an 11th place finish, ahead of Vittorio Iannuzzo and wild-cards Tolga Urpak and Yunus Ercelik.

is well impressed with that result for Eugene. Worked as hard as the rest and then held back a little on the tyres mid race to have something left for the last few laps to put pressure on Tom. 25 well earned points. this c'ship going down to race 2 at Jerez.
