I forgot where, but I read the same comment some place. I forget if it was on Soup or Dennis Noyes on SPEED or what but I remember hearing/reading the same comment. Even without the benefit of reading that comment anyone who followed Spies vs. Mladin knows that those Gixxers were basically tuned to perfection, the rest was up to the riders. I think that's what I found most frustrating about the 2009 season. Having watched for years how inch perfect Spies's Crew and Mladin's crew were in the AMA I found it surprising and frustrating that Yamaha's WSBK team had significant growing pains throughout the season. Frankly I think Spies himself found that equally as frustrating and surprising.
