I completely agree with Jake on this, but just want to tale it a little further.
SBK slicks are much grippier than STK series tyres, they work the suspension harder and frame flex makes a big difference.
It's like Burgess about the Ducati in the wet- less lean, so no front end issues (in the wet the tyre goes before pumping/frame fles becomes an issue).
Superbikes are a long way from production bikes (too far in my opinion).
Time you've changed the suspension, wheels, swingarm etc it's far from standard!
