Laverty did a great job for a rookie and is a future champ in my opinion but to say he is rated higher than Melandri does not compute or sit well with me. Aside from a few times, Eugene was out shoned by hi team mate (but this was expected) because of his MGP experience so there is no shame in this. Eugene just needed more experience. His double was excellent. I also think Biaggi should be ahead of Laverty and maybe Marco (although we expected more from the reigning champ in 2011). Fact is if Biaggi was not injured, I do not think Marco would have beat him and Eugene would not be close. Yes, i agree this is all subjective and there is no concrete stats to prove position except the points system and if we went by that Biaggi and Marco would have displaced Eugene as well...
Anyway, interesting and Marco deserved the high placing based on his performance.
