I personally think he is Britain's most convincing future world champion and I base that on the fact that I think he is our best racer.
Has anyone ever noticed that Davies often finishes well up on his starting positions? He only qualified 10th at the Nurburgring, but won a race from there. His podiums at Aragon and Moscow were also achieved from lowly starting points.
His best grid position is eighth and he has only started inside the top ten on three occasions. Yet he has 11 top seven finishes...
On the one hand, you could say Davies needs to improve his qualifying (he wasn't great at that in WSS either), but he is always moving forward in the races! That's the sign of a true champion in my opinion.
