The way I see it, Biaggi crashed 4 times by himself, Sykes lost points twice because of technical issues, a half-score race and when he was taken out by Aragon.
If just one of those things hadn't happened - and Laverty had not given Biaggi third place in Russia - Sykes would be champion.
A few what ifs, but that's such a tiny margin for what could have been...
Well done Biaggi, you deserved to be up there regardless of my allegiances, but I feel Sykes and Kawasaki deserved it just that bit more given where they have come from and what they've battled through in 2012.
