Another one of those sporting "results" that will be contested by fans forever, just like the 1966 Monte Carlo rally. Many fans will remember that as a Mini 1-2-3 with the leading french car in fifth. The official result was of course that the Citroen won, but many fans will always remember it at a Mini win. Likewise this year's WSBK plenty of fans will remember Sykes as the winner no matter what the record books say. This sort of thing is a shame for both riders and for the sport in general.
