I agree with @Cubikrube So called "dumbing down" of the bikes has not affected the racing in BSB, far from it the racing this year has possibly been the best in the history of the championship. Lets face facts. Costs in WSBK have spiralled up to the point its now cheaper for a team to run a CRT in MotoGP. Add this on to the fact that sponsors are feeling the pinch and therefore are not willing to pay as much and you have a recipe for teams to find either they can no longer compete or no longer want to compete, This has been proved by withdrawal of teams in last couple of years. BSB however now has a list of teams waiting for grid slots. It even has manufacturers entering the series again (MV) Lower spec does not mean poor racing, Just more affordable.
