Was never a huge fan of Max in his 250 days but some of those 250 races 96/97 are unforgettable. What about Waldmann,Harada,Jacque and Max at the Nurburgring in 97.....possibly the best 250 race of all time. When Harada announced his retirement in 2002 Max took the time to go along and say a few words, showed a side of the man behind the racer....and I warmed to him. I'm sorry to see him go because he's the last of that generation of 250 greats... Thank-you Max and enjoy your retirement.
