..."Biaggi took time to make his mind up, after a lot of to-ing and fro-ing: he even walked away from a new offer from Aprilia and a tempting offer from his friend and manager, Francesco Batta. Batta offered him the chance to open a new page in the chapter of his career with an official Ducati ride and the new Panigale SBK. A 2-year contract was on the table as well as the chance to take over from Valentino Rossi. But, at the age of 41 and after thousands of battles, Biaggi didn’t feel he wanted to."
