Sad news in a way as I was looking forward to seeing him battle next season. But happy news for him as he's retiring a champion still capable of winning. He's had a great career and only wished they didn't blackball him from MotoGP as it would have been nice to see him battle Rossi for awhile longer. Interesting to see that he's the only Italian to win the WSB championship and only rider to win GP and WSB championships. Glad to see he's healthy and wish him and his family a great retirment for a great rider. His passion and racecraft will be missed.
