Never my favourite person, but his riding commanded great respect. Tempted to say 'Half a point saved him and he knows he was lucky this time'. But then again, part of that half point lead had its foundation on flashes of brilliance too and without those he wouldn't have lifted the trophy yet again. So, good luck mate. You've earned the right to leave with your head held high.
