Max Neukirchner's career went on a downward spiral after he was involved in an awful crash in the first chicane at Monza in 2009. He was showing great form that year aboard the Alstare Suzuki. The accident was caused by Makoto Tamada whose Kawasaki skittled Max & Brendan at the start of the first race. Max suffered multiple fractures to one of his legs. I have no doubt that he would have gone very close to becoming the first German WSBK champion had he not been the unfortunate victim of that accident.I hope he rebuilds his career once more even if he does it with another manufacturer. Roll on 2013!
