Simon has nailed it from my experiences over many years in the paddock as a fan i have seen it year after year where privateer teams are just there to make up the numbers including Pedercini his bikes didn't have flyby throttle like the factory Kwaka team & they aren't the only team to get sub standard packages . Before there was a single tyre supplier you had Michelin whipping Dunlop to the point that dunlop teams were racing to be top Dunlop team as they had no chance of beaten Michelins . Then there was Michelins for factory teams & lower spec for privateer teams .
