yup, I have probably watched more racing than you in the last 2-3 years, probably 5-10x over, I have and operate, and maintain my own bike, its quite fun, there are no contradictions, do you even know what a contradiction is? Of course pro racing is about commercials lolz, do you really think its about anything else? TV ratings and commercials, just like crash with all their adverts. And yes, you can develop tires which work better for some bikes and not others, all you have to do is look a the control tire in MotoGP, proof positive.
The tire limit is not grip vs lean vs speed, its about managing the temperature of the compound so that it affords the pilot the best amount of grip (static friction w/ respect to contact patch and road at any one particular moment). Also limiting the heat buildup to afford longer runs on the tires. The pilot with the best setup will have the best chance.
