Certain characteristics of a bike which are not inherant in other bikes determine the setup, affect the geometry, and the way a bike is setup, these factors directly attribute to whether or not teams can make tires last. In WSBK teams use production based equipment with restrictions on chassis development. This is not prototype racing, and thus Kawasaki cannot develop a bike around these tires and therefor they will, even if they can build a faster bike will remain constrained about the characteristics of the tires and how well their setup integrates with the attributes of the tires, which is A LOT MORE than just 'rubber'
