His time today would have put him in front of all the CRT bikes and the satellite Ducatis in last year's qualifying session. His time in qualifying today would have put him less than 1/2 a second behind Casey Stoner's fastest race lap (2012 Assen race winner). And this was on a track that was recently 'wet'.
Sure those were Pirelli Qualifiers, but Pirelli doesnt make as good a tire as the GP BStone slicks, even with the nobbling that occurred with the front tire in 2012. Put Sykes on BStones and watch him destroy the CRTs I really wish they would wild card him, his crew and his bike at PI and show up the field. Of course that would mean Carbon brakes too, not just the better rubber
