agreed, its money wasted, add's nothing to the spectacle, does nothing for safety, and only makes it more dangerous for riders to work around it when they cant get it to behave properly. TC is a joke, just like the control tire, it adds costs just like the control tire, yet people are going on about saving money, and this simply is not the case when you have to spend extra time setting up a bike for a particular tire that wont work for your bike or setting up traction control for an extra few 10ths of a second.
You dont save a crash because TC cuts in, you save a bike because you know how it will behave and how you must ride it and react in order to save it, adding complexity to that equation does nothing for safety. TC is just for going faster, and TC only helps the teams with the most money to spend on it.
