Good question, last year the ones with something to lose slowed down waiting for the organisers to stop it, the others pushed harder and seized their chance. This year was similar except like all the riders said, because of the crazy 50 second rule no one but the back markers were going to risk over 50 seconds and get it wrong. You saw how bad it got in Moscow before the front 2 changed. Pointless having the tyre change rule if no one uses it. Bit different in GP, you can enter and leave the pits as many times as you want so long as each time you leave on different tyres. Again the best riders manage their tyres better what ever they are on, Lorenzo's looked like a piece of liquorish once after winning a race. Did you see the Valencia race last year where there was 2 groups of those on one tyre and those on another apart from the Aliens. They adopted the same rules in WSB 4 years ago, but because they never had a wet race, shortsighted as usual didn't think about it until Silverstone l
