Melandri maybe had a chance in race 1, but he looked right on the ragged edge with EL & CD in race 2. The hunger and fight in EL & CD was immense - they both wanted it badly. But I think Chas had a tiny edge and deserved the win. Laverty was hard but fair and kept it clean. Melandri though was a concern - form says a banzai move could have cleaned him and one of the others out (probably Chas, as he'd have hated Chas beating him and would have overstepped the mark like he did with Haslam at Donington). Melandri likes to block pass on the brakes and push people wide - but even being lighter he couldn't shove it up the inside of Chas - who was a demon late braker. Cracking racing from all of them though.
