The Aussies are back in World Supersport free practice two with Yamaha Germany rider Kevin Curtain taking the lead with a time of 1min 35.903secs.
Curtain beat the ever dominant Frenchman, Sebastien Charpentier on his Winston Ten Kate Honda, who cruised home in second place.
The third fastest man on track was Australia's own Anthony Gobert who is replacing the injured David Checa in the GMT 94 Yamaha squad. This is Gobert's first foray back into the race scene for a little while and it looks like he is going to ruffle some feathers at his local circuit. He had engine problems in first qualifying which left him in twelfth place, however his team have worked hard to rectify that and he is now reaping the rewards.
Hawk Kawasaki's Dean Thomas who is riding for Gil Motorsport this weekend, bettered his qualifying time and position during free practice coming home in fifth place, ahead of new Supersport star Kenan Sofguolu.
Supersport rookie, Josh Brookes put in a good session finishing fourteenth on his SC Carrachi Ducati, four places ahead of his qualifying position.
Lone Brit Tom Tunstall was also improving, with a best placing of fourteenth during the session. The Hardinge Bridgeport rider has been steadily working on his track knowledge and set up due to lack of pre season testing.
