Australian Broc Parkes on the Yamaha Germany machine headed the times sheets at Brno in the Czech Republic in preparation for round seven of the World Supersport Championship.

The Brno circuit is one of the longest circuits in the championship with a lap taking over two minutes. Parkes' time was 2min 6.103secs, which is under the best lap set here last year by reigning champion Sebastien Charpentier.

Second fastest was Barry Veneman on the Hoegee Suzuki, who was the only other rider to lap in the 2min 6s. Third place went to Robbin Harms on the Stiggy Motorsport Honda, with Kevin Curtain on the second of the Yamaha Germany bikes close behind him in fourth place.

The Winston Ten Kate team are back with their World Champion in the garage as Charpentier makes his return to the track. Charpentier damaged his collar bone and pelvis during a crash in testing and had to miss out the Misano round. In free practice one he was circulating in eighth place. His young team-mate Kenan Sofguolu was fourth and is hoping for a return to the fast form he had found at the start of the season.

Stuart Easton who has made the move to World Supersport on a permanent basis with the SC Carrachi team was running in thirty second place.
