Yamaha Germany rider Broc Parkes topped the time sheets during second free practice ahead of round nine of the World Supersport Championship at Assen in Holland.

Second fastest was defending World Champ and provisional pole sitter Sebastien Charpentier on the Winston Ten Kate Honda. The Dutch based Ten Kate team are hoping for strong results at their home round as are Hoegee Suzuki whose rider Kai Borre Andersen was running in third.

Dutch rider Arie Vos had a massive off during the session with his bike clearing the fencing and bursting into flames. He was able to walk away from the crash and even remembered to go and retrieve his transponder from the remains of the smouldering J&E Sport Ten Kate Honda.
