Troy Corser on the Alstare Corona Extra Suzuki has pipped Troy Bayliss
on his Xerox Ducati to the number one slot during the final free practice session ahead of Superpole for the eleventh round of the Corona Extra Superbike World Championship at Imola.
Britain's James Toseland was also up there in third place and is determined to seal his second place in the championship aboard his Winston Ten Kate Honda. Fourth place was taken up by Andrew Pitt on the Yamaha Italia, while his team-mate Noriyuki Haga
ran in eighth. Haga is still suffering from a wrist injury he picked up in Germany when he saved a near high side.
There were four fallers during the session starting with Ivan Clementi, Kurtis Roberts followed his lead approximately one minute later. Fonsi Nieto
came to grief with twenty minute of the session left to run and the final faller was Max Neukirchner.WSBK free practice results (2) – Imola:
