The Winston Ten Kate Honda team were once again in the top two spots during free practice at Imola ahead of round eleven of the World Supersport Championship. Kenan Sofuoglu was fastest with his team-mate Sebastien Charpentier in second place.
The team-mates swapped between first and second place for most of the session, with only Robbin Harms on the Stiggy Motorsport Honda surpassing they at one point mid session before running into the gravel.
Last year's race winner, Gianluca Nannelli took up third place on his SC Carrachi Ducati; being a local rider on an Italian bike and part of an Italian team he will be chasing another win at Imola.
William De Angelis made a surprise visit to the top ten, finishing in fourth place just ahead of Harms.
Broc Parkes was the first of the Yamaha Germany bikes home in seventh whilst his team-mate and current Championship leader, Kevin Curtain finished in tenth place. There is a lot at stake this weekend for Curtain with Charpentier returning to his dominant form, so he is erring on the side of caution.
