WSS » WSS: Speedy Scassa denies plucky Lowes

Lowes led into the final corner, but Scassa and Parkes's better straight line speed see them demote him to third across the line.

Look at the size of Scassa!

Great riding by The Big Man. Also great by Sam Lowes and Broc Parkes.

Very sorry for the three riders who got no points as a result of flat rear tyres - a gross injustice to them and their teams.

@Sick Cylinder i some times wonder what goes through the minds of people to make them hit the disagree . I wouldn't mind if they gave their opinion stating why. Any way yeah i looked at that photo and thought how the hell does he fit on that bike. He and Broc rode brilliant races but the best performance i think has to go to Sam Lowes overall it was great racing.

What a fantastic race it was, Sam Lowes and the Parkalgar Honda Team will need to try and improve the top speed of that Honda this year, or it could happen again at places like Monza. BUT he deserved the win today

Sam lowes was brilliant this.so was Chaz Davies and although Ellison came in 6th , he shouldn't have been riding at all so well done to him for what must have been an excruiating race.

At the risk of being called a pedant, there were Yamahas in quite a few races last year, such as Tamburini's Bike Service machine in four rounds.

Fantastic race though, even if the ending was a bit disappointing. I'm not sure Lowes actually got a bad exit from the final corner, it just looked like pure straight-line speed and slipstreaming. Surprised the commentators didn't make more of Marino coming through from last to finish in the top 10 - he's another great prospect along with Scassa, Lowes and Rea. Massive grid as well - we should be in for a great year, and far too close to call.

I can't help but agree. Who on earth were the P*ll*cks that hit the disagree button to Sam Lowes excellent performance. It was a fantastic ride from start to finish. Watch out for that name. Britain may have a World Class rider at last some time in the future!
