Would be a good move to both parties. The new 675 MV is gorgeous but they will not sell enough even on the nice reduced price if they don't prove that it is not only a state of art design piece but a fast and RELIABLE supersport bike as well. It must not be in the top5 immediately but it has to be seen on world stage. A good team as Battas with a very good rider and a factory backing could get into the top 10, that is enough. A flash here and there is good marketing enough. Hope they will agree an the terms!

"Batta emphasised his loyalty to Suzuki by refusing to work with another JAPANESE brand" - these part is a little bit funny.
I have never heard before that MV Augusta bikes are racing in 600cc class (well, in any class), but I will be happy if these news are true.

This has got to be good news, the new M/V is stunning looking bike, this company made its name on the track. The site and sounds of the M/V hopefully will be a force to be recond with. Hopefully this will keep it as world Manufacturer championship rather than another Honda cup

exhibit A of how reducing prices is a dead end. if they do have an unforseen problem (and what manufacturer doesn't), they risk not having the cash to direct back in to sorting the problem. the issue then perpetuates triggering further devaluation, this time from the consumer (like they need any incentive?). never sell a new ferrari for $50 grand. the lower you set the bar, the lower the bar will be set.

batta, watch the rags (think rrw in the states) for comparo's. if it looks promising...? (then and only then) grab a bike and do your own testing the 2nd half of the season with a young italian gun outside the glare of the telly in SSTOCK600. use this as a prelude to a full season come 2013. just in case you've forgotten (not likely), jap 600's in WSS do not/will not suffer fools. ask triumph.
