Well done to Sam for a beautifully ridden race. The Honda clearly struggled for speed against the Kwaks, but Sam made the best of his bike and deserved the win.
As for Sofuoglu, the man has a reputation for overly aggressive riding that is well deserved. This incident though was beyond the pale. As Lowes pointed out, KS is a 2 times world champion and this is not what you would expect from a rider of this calibre and experience. He needs to step back and consider how he rides his races before something more serious happens.

There are a lot of misteries. First of all, why did Sofuoglu do that crazy move? And what is that penalty, must give 3 positions? I thought they only use that kind of penalty in case of yellow flag passing, or passing outside of the track (as Foret did at Misano). Don't see the logic of the decision.
In the official results there is a +6,377 difference for Sofuoglu. Don't understand the point. They simply invented a time so he could be classified fifth?

Great ride from Sam overshadowed by madness from Sofuoglu. I'd like to hear his side of the story actually, because I can't imagine what Foret (allegedly) did to spark off such a reaction.

Too lenient a punishment IMO though, should have been a black flag and possibly a further race ban. Behaviour like that is not acceptable anywhere never mid at 180mph.

There are racing incidents and stupidity but this was downright outrageous, should have been an instant disqualification from the race. There are enough risks at the speed they are doing, and as fans we want to see good racing, not childish maneuvers by idiotic riders that cant control their temper on the track. infact throw him out of the competition!

He should have been black flagged or given a ride through. I don't see the point of letting him continue to mix it the others when he's out of it. He shouldn't be allowed to interfere with the others race after he's had a penalty.

He should have been black flagged and an inquest into the incident with both riders involved. The sport is dangerous enough as it is, one silly touch of the bars and goodness knows what could have happened

At the previous race Bautista was running at the same pace as the Repsols. He may have been thinking that if he could just get away with them at the start that he could challenge during the race. It was obvious that he braked way too late, but there was no intent to take Lorenzo out, and he was immediately apologetic. A few years ago in F1 Schumacher got a penalty which had to be taken within 3 laps, when there were only 3 laps left. He pulled in on the final lap and effectively crossed the line while taking his penalty and still won the race. Cheating, maybe, but within the rules as was Sofuoglus action. However, I do not condone what Kenan did and believe that instant disqualification would have been appropriate. Unlike Bautista, his action was deliberate and could have had serious consequences if Foret had crashed. This kind of behaviour cannot be allowed to go unpunished, and if the authorities do not review their decision and impose a 3 race ban on Sofuoglu then I would not be sur
