WSS » PTR boss: Sofuoglu penalty not harsh enough

Simon Buckmaster: In my opinion the penalty was simply nowhere near harsh enough for such an outright dangerous move. It is not the first time with Kenan either...

Wow, can't believe that on this occasion I find myself agreeing with every word of what Simon Buckmaster has to say......and good on him for coming out and saying it.

Buckmaster is correct on all points. I have yet to see in print what Sofuoglu thought had happened to justify his behaviour. If it is just that he has no control over his anger, the FIM should seriously look at suspending his license - he is clearly a little self destructive and other riders could get caught up in his crazyness. Foret, appeared not to have a clue what had riled him, and, it seemed to accept that it was normal behaviour for Sofuoglu. As an aside, the 600's, both Moto2 and SS600 are great spectacle!

Sofuoglu has proved time after time that he has no regard for fellow competitors and has also proved how dangerous he is on track,if he is allowed to continue he will end up seriously injuring or killing someone, then the officials who issued this ridiculous
penalty will forever regret they did not take the opportunity to ban Sofuoglu from ever competing again.

Maybe the race stewards reviewed on bike footage of Foret doing something daft to Superglue before they got onto the straight and that was not caught on the TV pictures ? Might have been a case of him getting his own back ?? Foret wasn't upset at all by the incident was he ???!! Strange reactions from an innocent party don't you think ?

Sofuoglu is a total dimwit with no regard for his fellow competitors or anyone in authority. He should be removed from the championship immediately until he can prove that he has grown up - and also stop sounding like a unuck.

I think FIM should interogate kenan and foret about what happened before the incident. I think it's very strange to see foret keeps shutting his mouth. But above all, everybody love controversy, right?

I agree with everything SB says. Race officials are far too lenient in handing out penalties lately. I'm stunned that idiot Sofuoglu didn't get a black flag at least.
