WSS » PTR boss: Sofuoglu penalty not harsh enough

Simon Buckmaster: In my opinion the penalty was simply nowhere near harsh enough for such an outright dangerous move. It is not the first time with Kenan either...

Yo, Schreckstoff, let's hear it for your multilingual input - how many languages was that you were reading to make your generalisations about 'the Brit press'? Here in Czecho, where they know their motorcycles and have no particular love of us, both the TV commentators and the press thought Sof was well out of order. The German press was pretty offended, too. The French were howling. You see, I speak all of those langauges and read right across the internet, despite being Brit and proud of it. I wonder what your first language is - if you have more than the one you're already mangling.

@ Shrieker

You've got some nerve defending Sofuoglu after this. I've got sympathy for the man after what he's been through over the years, however seeing what he is capable of is alarming. He is a danger to himself as well as others, he needs a psychological evaluation. Not to mention a ban!
Neither is this incident blown out of proportion. Sofuoglu could have killed someone.

There are allot of disagrees on here, to those people all i say is....

If Foret had fallen and was seriously or fatally injured, would you think it was still a good move?

On a side not of what Simon says, They gave bautista the penalty and will allow lorenzo to have a new engine with no penalty.

wasn't the incident with simon shown to be that simon was going a lot slower than he had done the whole race at that corner? not excusing sofuoglu as he has had quite a few incidents with other riders

You can check my previous posts, I said it was WRONG. I being a fan even called the move idiotic. I'm not a blind man.

However, the anti-Kenan brigade here is just disgusting. If there wasn't a brit rider gunning for the title in wss they wouldn't give a flying F U K about the whole thing. Hooligans are fickle, end of.

"could have killed someone. "

It didn't happen.

"If Foret had fallen and was seriously or fatally injured"

He wasn't.

Yet, do I think that the move was dangerous and uncalled for? Yes. Should he be further penalised ? I said yes before, but after seeing the hooligan lobby and their sh!t politics, definitely NO. Is it disgusting that a rival team manager -whom's rider wasn't involved with the incident at all- is calling for Kenan's head now ? Yes.

This manoeuvre was bang out of order (even if there had been provocation) but....when is Simone Buckmaster going to give it a rest re. Miller 2009. FFS it was a legitimate block pass, the bleaters at the time lost credibility and we all know we'd have been giving it "Yeah, gerrin' there" if EL or CC had done the same thing.
