i wonder if its a case of having the wrong face/passport again? or maybe they felt he didnt have enough money to buy his ride? a real shame as Linfoot is a class act.

I expect its the same old story where do these youngsters find the pot of gold that all these teams expect them to bring with them. There has to be something wrong with motorcyling when these boys and girls put on a mega show for us most of them have to bring crazy amounts of money and then the best thing is they get nothing for riding them.
Tommy Bridewell is prime example he gets the call up to ride the bike, never seen the team never seen the bike, does an icredible job for the team and BMW getting into the BSB showdown and here he is without a ride it just dont add up?

I'm completely disillusioned with motor bike sport in general,it appears it's not the best riders getting the rides,it's the one's with the most money.
Let's hope this changes in the future, when there viewing figures drop and attendances drop then the promoters will understand that we want to watch the likes of tommy bridewell and dan linfoot, not the has beens that we have at the moment.

I think there's a misconception that a "rider bringing money to the team" means that the there's a whole bunch of talentless spoiled brats buying rides with their trust funds.

I think it's more a case of riders bringing their own personal sponsors that are funding the rides. It sucks for riders who don't have personal sponsors.

I was watching Sheridan Morias the other night on an SA biking show and he was saying that not too long ago WSS riders were making good money from racing. Now There's 2 or 3 that are making money and the rest have to provide the team with sponsors. He also said that it was even worse in Moto 2. Crazy times indeed.

But someone is making money. It's not the riders. It can't be the teams. It's not the fans.

I understand racing is mega expensive i know because i have been paying for years but I have allways found it unbeleivable that nearly everybobdy in the team is expected to get paid but not the rider.I do not know of any other job where if you asked one of your employes to work for 6 monthes for free what they would do,im sure they would think you were needing help from a doctor.

I see Team Mahi are settling into the 'Italian' style of management then! Dan and Florian are better off out of it as this team are already on self destruct course. The only reason they are the 'official' Kawasaki SSP team is they are the only ones with any money! Better team than Lorenzini or Intermoto? Don't think so. Meanwhile our earnest friends from India are paying through the nose for everything because they have no idea! Sooner or later they'll find out they've been had and the money will cease to flow...and particularly if Supersport gets chopped into a Superstock class by Dorna for 2014, after they've spent a fortune on SSP motors.Hope Dan and Flo find a good team as they are class riders and Kawasaki should be backing them, not the oldest guys in the field!
