I used to like this guy until a few years ago when he gave Josh Hayes a hard time because Hayes was actually trying to RACE (when Hayes raced in WSS as a wildcard after the AMA season was done).

The guy should move up to sbk. Oh yeah he already did and couldn't hang. Couldn't do much in moto2 either.

Considering the budget cuts and the economic downturn, racers who are our entertainers on sundays have to make money. Unfortunately economics do not allow racers do what they want nowadays. Many of the racers other than the top ones are racing for food. Sofu tried SBK with a bike which has never won the WSBK title and not succesful even it has Honda badge on it. In moto2 he went to a low budget team with limited resources. Even last year Lorenzini lost their sponsor Deltafin and Kawasaki Factory has to step up to fund the rest of the season because they had strong chance for the title and they got it. When Sofu got the machinery he delivered. I think Mahi racing is a well funded Indian team. They are new to the racing scene but the team has talended English professionals and the headquarters are in England. This is a warm up for the team. Probably they will go to WSBK next year with Kenan. ZX-10 is now a proven bike. And we will be able to answer the questions in our mind about Sofu. I

Kenan did alright the first two races in Moto2, might have almost won at least one of them had he not been punted off the track by Bradl or blown his tires too early in the wet.

Anyways, we all know what a difference a bike can make in Moto2 with West coming from almost dead last in the beginning of the season to finishing runner up twice in a row. In SBK he said the biggest challenge for him was the electronics.

Hes got to deal with the R6 of Lowes this year, but i dont believe Lowes has the 'rhythm' to keep his tires in check for a whole race. So it should be interesting.

btw, if Kenan had the level of support Marquez did in Moto2 he would have destroyed that series, btw. Kenan was playing second fiddle to a Swiss on a Swiss team in Moto2, dont forget.

some racers actually like racing and winning.
There is also the bizarre UK attitude of going to a big series and cruising round at the back and thinking you have achieved something.
