WSS » WSS Donington: Provisional Donington pole for Lowes

Despite completing just four laps over the entire day, Sam Lowes is still fast enough to claim provisional pole position at a damp Donington Park.

Tire life and strategy will prove to be Lowes downfall if Kenan can observe these facts, Kenan just needs to be able to push his tires just that much harder towards the end of the race to make sure Lowes loses his advantage and has to struggle to make pace till the end of the race.

Forza Kenan !!!

Nah, in that case it was the problem with Sam being 7/10's quicker than Kenan in qualifying. In reality that kind of gap is good enough to win any race, Kenan just didnt do a good enough job of slowing Lowes down while leading or biding his time from behind. Lowes ran uncontested behind Kenan in that race and just sat on his advantage till the end.

Kenan needs to slow Sam from the front (allow more riders to catch up and interfere) when behind outbreak and run him wide. Do everything to interfere with Sam's lines and break his rhythm. Sam has the fastest bike by a mile this year, out pacing everybody by huge margins, so he doesnt have to worry about breaking under the pressure (crashing) introducing the pressure is something Kenan has to do.

(strategy)

... with the right strategy and enough pace Kenan can gap Lowes at the end. Breaking Lowe's rhythm is top priority. With out the rhythm Sam will crack when the tires are starting to come off.

... pressure points.

Sam's strategy relies completely on his bike's pace, and if he runs uncontested the whole race his engineer's work is what will win him the race. Kenan doesnt have factory Yamaha trying to justify his move in to WSBK, Kenan needs to apply the pressure.

Nonsense - the fastest bike this year is the Kawasaki -the fastest rider is Lowes. However I agree that Lowes is sometimes too fast for his tyres and cooks them wheras Sofuoglu waits for his moment.
