Going forward, teams will be allowed to tune front suspension with a zip-tie around one fork leg, but it must be an approved budget-priced unit, with power mods limited to the use of a (no pricey CF!) slip on pipe. "Ebay" rearsets and brake levers are also being considered....

I honestly don't see this as being a problem. Superbikes are meant to be modified production racers, and apart from the frame and the engine block there isn't much standard at all.

When a Superstock bike can make 200bhp how much more does the superbike need? Limit the series to only running the same rider aids/electronics as the production bike and then we'll see costs cut.

Should be standard frame, engine, sub frame, swing arm and petrol tank. Change wheels, brakes, suspension and mild tuning (to Supersport regs).
Electronics as ONLY what is fitted as standard to the homologated road bike.

Case in point, look at today's times.

Fastest SBK = 1m 42.4
Fastest STK = 1m 44.6

That's 102.4 seconds versus 104.6 seconds.

Give a stock lighter wheels and slicks to find 0.5 of that difference straight away.
And all at a tenth of the cost.

**** **** **** boobs tits boogers....... aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagggggggggggghhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Typical Dorna screw up in progress lets introduce min thisax cost that and lets roll each idea out in phases just to confuse the teams and manufacturers as to what is happening next year and give them no clue what so ever is happping the year after until weve got 4 tier modified production based series with last years crt monsrrosities at the front of the field with stock bikes a second off.

Why limit engines? This just makes the limited engines v v expensive. Limit the revs and make them stick to standard con rods and pistons. That sorts the costs way better and cuts costs. Usual lunacy from Dorna - they seem determined to foul up WSBK like the have MotoGP
