Andrea Antonelli has died after an accident during the World Supersport race at the Moscow Raceway.

that race shouldnt have gone ahead, end of. when the riders are complaining about the conditions, you listen.

I do not understand the decision of the governing body to start this race. Advances in run off areas, back protectors and airbags, and penalties for reckless riding have all been adopted to make a dangerous motorsport safer for its competitors. And then they begin this race in these horrific conditions..... It does not make sense to me.

I remember David Emmett saying "I love motorcycle racing passionately but I hate the fact death is still part of it". And this is so true. It's such a sad day today. Rest in peace Andrea, we miss you mate

These men put their lives on the line but we seldom recognize the fact and some of them we treat like sh@t, until such a tragedy comes along.

RIP, gone so young with so much to do still...
