Sometimes it's easy to forget how much these guys put on the line for the love of their sport. We're so used to seeing them get up and walk away from accidents. My heart felt sympathy goes out to his family and friends. Rest in peace Andrea.

A true shame, to see another youngster die, doing what he loves.
Rain is a fact of racing life. No-one likes it but it happens.
Gods speed Andrea

sad state of affairs. new circuits, bring new conditions, bring new unforeseen challenges. fwiw, we've actually run races in MUCH worse conditions. but always bad when they conspire to take a life. RIP.

unfortunately, this happens on clear blue days as well. jonesy as mentioned, but tomizowa, SIMO, lenz at Indianapolis, the Honda employee (Gette) at VIR, etc. I was present for those last 2. it's not something ya ever get used to. nor should you.

a rider off his kit and on the ground, with an entire GRID speeding towards him is literally in the "Hands of God" at that moment. nothing man can do or invent can afford 100% protection against something like that.

RIP.
Didn't know much about you but all my thoughts are with your family, friends and fellow competitors.
