Performance Technical Racing has announced its second entry into the 2011 World Supersport Championship will compete under the Bogdanka PTR banner after linking up with a Polish operation.

The Bogdanka name has made occasional forays into the series, most recently a wild-card outing at Brno last season, though this deal will see the name enter full-time under the direction of PTR.

The deal will see James Ellison and Superstock rider Pawel Szkopek ride as part of a four-man PTR line-up that also includes Parkalgar Honda's Sam Lowes and Miguel Praia.

"This partnership sees Poland's first World Championship full-time race team and it is starting at the very highest level with proven technical ability and a realistic chance to win a World Championship thanks to PTR," said team director Michael Igor Piasecki.

"This is a partnership, it is not a sponsorship. PTR will help to operate and organise the team alongside Parkalgar Honda out of the same garage and there will be shared branding with the Parkalgar squad. Bogdanka PTR Honda is employing Polish staff to work on the project alongside British engineers.

"This is one of the best opportunities for Poland to win a World Championship in any motorsport in 2011 - we have the best bikes and in JamesEllison one of the pre-season favourites. Pawel Szkopek is the best rider in Poland right now and the eight times national Champion will learn quickly from his team mate - we expect him to be featuring at the sharp end of the results."

PTR has been expected to enter as PTR Romania following an apparent decision to form a base there, but while it was tentatively announced that Robert Muresan would ride alongside Ellison, the deal would ultimately fall through.

The team will make its debut during the upcoming Portimao tests.
