Fabien Foret continues to lead the way during World Supersport testing at Phillip Island, the former champion inching his way towards the lap record on the Ten Kate Honda.

The Frenchman, who was fastest on the Monday, was once again in charge during Tuesday's morning session, chipping away at his best lap to crack 1min 34secs and get to within a tenth of Joan Lascorz's benchmark from 2010.

Even so despite his own improvements, Foret is being chased down by David Salom, the Spaniard getting to within two tenths of his rival on the Kawasaki ZX-6R, while his team-mate Broc Parkes held onto third position.
