Luca Scassa continues to stamp his authority on the World Supersport Championship as a second win at Donington Park saw him increase his lead in the standings.
Fresh from winning on his category debut at Phillip Island, Scassa took a lights-to-flag victory at Donington Park after resisting the race long attentions of ParkinGO Yamaha team-mate Chaz Davies.
A perfect result for the Italian, who is now 19 points up on Broc Parkes in the standings, though he admits he would have settled for second position had Davies attacked him earlier, he was delighted with victory all the same.
“I didn't expect Chaz to be quite so strong going by this morning's warm up times but he really surprised me with such an impressive performance. I had a perfect start off the grid.
“I would have settled for second but obviously was much happier with a win. We have won two races out of two and that's impressive. I'm very satisfied with my bike and team. We are proving to have the best overall package so I'm extremely pleased with this.”
