Ellison looking forward to another home round

James Ellison targets a strong result on home soil at Silverstone after being ruled out of a podium finish at Donington Park.
After the disappointment of missing the podium at Donington Park, a positive James Ellison is looking forward to getting a second shot at scoring a good finish on home soil, this time at Silverstone.

Ellison was on course for a strong finish at Donington Park aboard the Bogdanka PTR Honda, only for technical issues to drop him down the order towards the end of the race.

Nonetheless, Ellison, who made his British Superbike return at Oulton Park recently, is keen to make amends at Silverstone, where he was a winner aboard the Swan Honda in BSB last season.

"Obviously I'm really excited to have another home race as Donington was good for us until I was forced to retire. There is no real track advantage to the Brits as I have only raced there once before just like the World Supersport riders but it's the fans that make the difference so I'm looking forward to it and will be pushing 100% as normal."

Ellison is currently 12th in the WSS standings with a best finish of sixth at Phillip Island.

Oh dear, 12th in the standings on that bike as well, it is a proven winner over the last few seasons as well. Little disappointing results this year James, I hope you can improve and put it on the box, but I feel your missing the edge to put it on the line and fight for the podium places??!!.. The jury is still out, but I fear you'll be getting pressure from Backmarker if your out of the top 6 this weekend, on home turf! Good luck, dig deep, I'll be cheering for you along with all the other Brits!
