Fresh from their run to the podium at the Nurburgring, PTR duo Sam Lowes and James Ellison are keen to pick up where they left off at Imola.
Though it will be their first appearance around the Italian circuit with their respective Parkalgar and Bogdanka teams, Lowes and Ellison have good memories of the venue.
For Lowes, who is still eyeing his first win at WSS level, he is keen to keep the pressure on Luca Scassa for a spot in the overall top five.
"I've been to Imola before and really like the track. It means I can get up to speed early and enjoy the weekend. I am fully recovered from my Nurburgring injuries and ready to give it my all and see what happens - my Parkalgar Honda and the team are mega, so I can't wait to get racing."
Ellison, meanwhile, is feeling buoyant following his superb run to second position at the Nurburgring, the British Superbike race winner very nearly overhauling Chaz Davies on that occasion.
"I love Imola. The last time I was there it was in 2003 and it's a fun track so I'm looking forward to going back there. We're leaving the bike exactly the same as in Germany. The last podium gave me a big boost and I'm really excited. The last few races were a bit difficult and I wasn't confident enough on the bike but things turned around in Germany and hopefully we can keep the momentum going."
