Sam Lowes has just one round remaining to break his World Supersport Championship victory duck this season after coming close again with a run to second at Magny-Cours.

The Briton has enjoyed a consistent second-half to the season aboard the Parkalgar Honda, with podiums at the preceding Nurburgring and Imola rounds, but while he battled towards the front once again in France, he couldn't match the pace of Luca Scassa.

Settling for second position, Lowes was nonetheless pleased with his performance, one that puts him just seven points behind the fight for third in the overall standings with his team's home round of Portimao remaining.
