Fifth podium for Sam Lowes in France

Sam Lowes claims his fifth World Supersport podium in eleven races at Magny-Cours, but the Briton is still eyeing a first win.
Sam Lowes has just one round remaining to break his World Supersport Championship victory duck this season after coming close again with a run to second at Magny-Cours.

The Briton has enjoyed a consistent second-half to the season aboard the Parkalgar Honda, with podiums at the preceding Nurburgring and Imola rounds, but while he battled towards the front once again in France, he couldn't match the pace of Luca Scassa.

Settling for second position, Lowes was nonetheless pleased with his performance, one that puts him just seven points behind the fight for third in the overall standings with his team's home round of Portimao remaining.

“I struggled for the first few laps with myself more than anything but I kept clawing away at it. When Luca came past me I dug deep but did not have the pace to catch him. Still, it is another second place and a big thank you to my team for all their support this weekend.

“I am looking forward to Portimao in Portugal for the final round - that is the home of my Parkalgar Honda team and I want to be fighting for the win there."

The boy has the pace, come on keep the faith. He's still only young (21). Remember Cal was 24 when he lifted the title and had alot more experiance. As did Eugene when he come so so close.. Give Sam (and Alex) time, they will be World Champions..
