Broc Parkes set the pace on the first day of post-season World Supersport testing at Portimao as he joined Ten Kate Honda for an outing on its bike.

The Australian, who rode the Provec Kawasaki in 2011, set an unofficial best lap time on 1min 45.8secs aboard the CBR600RR ridden by Florian Marino and Fabien Foret this season.

He was two tenths quicker than Sheridan Morais, who put in a good time aboard the Lorenzini Kawasaki, the South African getting a chance on the ZX-6R after a season competing with the Italian outfit in the Superstock 1000 series. Lorenzini will take over Kawasaki's official WSS entry in 2012.
