Sam Lowes will ride under the Bogdanka PTR banner in 2012 as he looks to turn a promising maiden season of World Supersport Championship racing into a title challenge next season.
The Briton made his full-time WSS debut with the PTR-prepared Parkalgar Honda team in 2011, scoring six podiums – including three second place finishes - on the way to sixth position in the overall standings.
Having penned a new deal with PTR towards the end of the year, it has now been revealed that Lowes will compete for the sister Bogdanka-backed team alongside Polish rider Pawel Szkopek, who also made his debut in 2011.
"I am very pleased to join Bogdanka PTR Honda, the team with which I will spend my second season in World Supersport World Championship. Bogdanka is a great company with big ambitions. I learned a lot this year, so our goal for 2012 is to challenge for wins and the title.”
Bogdanka PTR ran alongside the Parkalgar Honda squad in 2011 with its rider line-up of Szkopek and James Ellison, the latter rider finishing the season seventh overall with two podiums.
As well as Lowes and Szkopek, PTR has already confirmed it will prepare bikes for PJ Jacobsen, Mathew Scholtz and Martin Jessopp in 2012.
