Lorenzo Baroni was the fastest man on track in the second free practice session at Imola on the Goldbet Italia BMW S1000RR.

Baroni assumed control to record the fastest lap of the session from fellow Italian Eddi La Marra on the Barni Ducati Panigale 1198.

Marco Bussolotti on the SK Energy Ducati 1098R made it a clean sweep of the top three positions for Italy, with French rider Sylvain Barrier in fourth on the second Goldbet Italia BMW machine.
